PGA Golf Tour 2015 - Asian Amateur Championship Day 1 - Full Round, Highlights, Score, Schedule.

        The seventh edition of the Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship will be held from October 1-4, 2015, at The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club in Hong Kong.

        Founded in 1982, Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club is an 18 hole course divided into two parts: the Highland Nine and the Ocean Nine.

        The 2015 Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship will have a maximum field of 120 amateur players. The field will be selected by the following criteria: The top two ranked amateur players from each APGC Member Association, plus the top four ranked players from the host country, as ranked by the World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) as of 6 August 2015. If there is not a sufficient number of players ranked from a member association, that association may nominate a player(s) from their association with an established handicap of less than 5.4, subject to APGC approval, to fill up to two positions. The remainder of the field (maximum 120 players) will be filled by taking the next highest ranked players from APGC Member Associations, not otherwise qualified, from the WAGR on 6 August 2015. The maximum number of eligible players from any APGC Member Association, except the host association, will be six. The AAC reserves the right, at its discretion, to invite additional players, or withdraw an invitation if the APGC is made aware of disciplinary matters or anti-doping sanctions concerning any player.

        The champion will receive the following: An invitation to compete in the Masters Tournament An exemption into The Amateur Championship, conducted by The R&A

        The champion and runner(s)-up will receive the following: A place in The Open Qualifying Series with the opportunity to qualify for The Open Championship at Royal Troon in 2016.
